Do you feel you’ve completely gone crazy over the course of this year? From the pandemic, natural disasters, and being at home all the time, we all may just have a small amount of sanity left.
Have no fear! Why? Because God tells us repeatedly in the Bible not to. He is the God of the possible and Jesus, who is God in earth, is the Prince of Peace.
Your computer use and abuse and all the to-do lists lately may have started to get to you. But listen, don’t get caught up in the circumstances and issues of today. Instead look to a God who promises a bright tomorrow if you rest in Him.
When you start to rely more on yourself to produce results in your life, it shows a distrust in God. Sometimes we don’t even realize we are treating Him this way.
You and I were born in His image, which means His character. We are living character references for God. Think of when you’re applying for a job and they are you for your character references.
Who have you chosen that can represent you in the best light? God chose us. As those who have accepted Christ, we have then been made new to live for Him so that He can work in and through us.
The first step in anything you do isn’t to panic or try to handle it on your own. Trust God. Trust that He will handle it and do exceedingly more than you can ever think to do.
Once you trust Him, it’s up to you to use your talents and time to honor Him. Trusting Him is not about sitting back and letting Him work. It’s the first step in allowing what you do to bring Him glory because He is the one who produces results through you.
Flipping a coin gives you a 50/50 chance at the choice you’re hoping for. Why not give God 100% of your trust and leave all of it up to Him instead of chance or your choice?
