Have you ever tried to hike a path that has become overgrown or taken a way that is off the beaten path? What you encounter has yet to be known, but it’s certain you will face a difficult journey.
Life is kind of like this. You know what you’ve faced and overcome in your life and most of what lies ahead is uncertain. But there is hope!
Christ has gone before you and made a way. It doesn’t mean storms won’t rise on the journey and create obstacles to overcome—downed trees, broken roads, holes, and hungry wolves.
What is does mean is He has marked the trial for you and knows the way. As your guide, He’s prepared for everything along the way even when things take you by surprise.
God is never surprised. Remember He has planned out your journey in advance. Just as He goes before you, He also walks behind you.
This is so Jesus is there to catch you when you fall and also provide help and healing. He alone can keep you from reliving the harm of your past that has left a scar on your heart and kept difficulty in your life.
God understands you better than you know yourself. This is always true of a creator with what he has created. He is our Creator.
God knows everything about you. His understanding of you can give you wonder and strength. Wonder invites you to look to the future in excited amazement. His strength provides for you the capacity to endure—to press on in any situation.
How does knowing He has gone before you to make a way, and that He also goes behind you to protect you, make a difference in how you live your life?
