So many times in Scripture we read the word Holy, but what does it actually mean? If something is holy it means it’s exalted or worthy of devotion.
So God is holy and Jesus is holy. The Bible also says the Sabbath is holy and that we are to always observe it. God created the universe and everything in it in just six days.
Now I don’t know about you, but there is no way I could ever get that much done in six days—not even close. Gods timing is not our timing and His ways are not our ways.
Jesus even knew how important it was to rest every now and then. If the Son of God thought it important to have some time for rest, how much more important is it for us to do the same?
Without having a Sabbath to rest and renew, it is way too easy to become stressed and distressed with your life. This will cause disorder, dismay, and delay of the life God has planned for you.
Make time to have a time of rest. You won’t regret it. When is the last time you observed the Sabbath and what did you do to rest?
