Are you the type of person who is spontaneous and up for anything anytime? Many people are not and they like to play things out more cautiously.
Security measures and rules are put in place to keep people safe. They are there because not having them would mean everyone would be doing whatever they want whenever they wanted. It would be anarchy.
What about spiritual security? God has put in place commandments for us to follow and in doing so He has our best interest at heart.
The commandments are rules, but following Him doesn’t just mean following a set a rules. It’s about relationship. God wants to have a personal relationship with you though His Son, Jesus.
Because God is always there for you, Jesus is always with you, and His Spirit lives in you, you have the opportunity to walk in light and not in darkness. You can choose the security God has to offer you and the best part is that it’s free!
If you walk with Him all of your days, He will help you walk the right path that leads to an abundant life in Him. He can keep you from falling into the traps of sin that are set for you—that try to keep you from God.
Will you choose His way that can keep you from the harm of sin or your own way that will surely lead to a lack of faith and spiritual oneness with God?
