Our society focuses mostly on outward appearances. There are products to help improve your appearance and services to help change your appearance. So as much as our culture would like us to think that inner beauty is what makes you the most beautiful, the things that are offered to us for beautification purposes make us believe otherwise.
It is just a fact that our bodies age with us. Some age more gracefully than others and some remain years younger mentally than their bodies portray them to be. No matter the state you find yourself outwardly, one thing is for sure.
Whether you are a Christian or not, it is a fact your earthly body will fade away and at some point cease to function, but inwardly God will continue to renew you each day. When you put your trust in Him and get to know Him, He will change you from the inside out.
He will renew your heart and make it beat for Him. God will renew your sight and I don’t mean physically necessarily, but He will change the way you see others, the world, and even yourself.
Your mind will be renewed and transformed by His power. As you spend this life with Him and know Him deeply through reading His Word, prayer, and being in community with other believers, His Spirit will renew your mind and help you understand His will and His ways.
No one can ever fully understand God because He is everything good encompassed into one being. His full nature and the depth of His love and grace can never fully be grasped by us, but wouldn’t it be great to try?
What we see and experience is only temporary and will all fade away. When you root yourself in Him and choose to live daily with Him by your side it will change your life. How could a prayer asking Him to change you from the inside out change your life?
