What is at the top of your to-do list for today? Does it have to do with you or someone else?
Your answer to these questions may determine what kind of person you tend to be. If your priorities lie more in getting things done for yourself than doing things for others you may have a problem on your hands.
There are times when you need to buy something for yourself or when you need to meet someone for coffee because they reached out to you after seeing you’re having a tough time.
By all means make sure you take care of yourself. But there should still be a focus on helping others. Maybe a friend needs a ride somewhere or maybe they need someone to talk to.
Jesus came to this earth as the Son of God and above all else—God in the flesh. But He came from humble beginnings and a modest upbringing.
He was not into boasting about Himself even because of His status. He taught His disciples by example that it was better to serve than be served.
The character by which you live with determine your steps. Pray for God to make you more and more like Jesus everyday—to serve Him by serving others.
