Sometimes I think people get caught up in the routine of Christmas. The season approaches, then it’s here, and we do all the normal things that go along with the season.
I feel myself rushing to get things done sometimes because they are tradition and they may have to get completed so our experience is complete.
Christmas shouldn’t just be an experience that comes and goes. Christ’s birth happened so many years ago, but the affects of it are to be celebrated throughout the year.
Sometimes we get so used to Christmas just being an event and forget the purpose. God came to earth in the form of a baby and if that wasn’t epic enough, He came so that He could die to save you.
It was the only way to fix the broken relationship we had with our Heavenly Father. Being sinful by nature, there was and is nothing you can do to save yourself.
God likes you and even more He loves you. In His holiness God always has great things in mind for you. Even when you don’t see it, He’s working for your good in the background.
Knowing Christmas and Christ mean more than just an annual event, what are you doing to ensure you keep Christ in your heart all year?
