On this Christmas Eve what are you anticipating? Is there a special gift you’re hoping to find under the tree tomorrow morning? Or are you praying or something more—peace on earth or at least in your family?
After the toughest year in a while, it is important to focus on the real reason for the season and the purpose of why we are all here to begin with. The greatest gift you could ever receive cannot be wrapped and put under a tree.
God created everything through Jesus and for Him. This includes everything on earth and in heaven. Without Jesus being born, you and I would not have the option to live a life that benefited anyone but ourselves.
It is because of Jesus we live, move, and are who we are. When your free will lines up with God’s will, He can do amazing things in and through you.
The thing is though you have to believe and then be willing to give up what you want for what God wants. Jesus came to earth as a little tiny baby and just like you and me He had the choice to follow God‘s plan for Him or not.
Oh what a blessing it is that He chose God‘s purpose! When you choose Him, your eternity in heaven is sealed and your name is written in the reservations books in heaven.
No person can take that away from you. This Christmas Eve, choose Him. Remember why we even celebrate Christmas. It’s in the name—“Christ”mas. How wonderful a gift our Savior is. He’s the best gift of all!
