Most of us this time of year are caught in a storm of busyness. Whether it’s fun stuff that is planned for you and your family or unexpected issues and stress, it’s not always good to be on the go all the time.
One thing I said in the past is “I am better kept busy than left idle.” Over time, I have learned just how wrong this statement is.
Sometimes doing nothing is more satisfying than doing it all. I challenge you to give your to-do list to God and watch how He guides your day to honor Him. Your priorities change when God is your focus.
In this busy season, keep calm! Be still—even for just a few minutes each day—and trust that He is God. He’s either Lord of all or He isn’t Lord at all.
If you have admitted to God your shortcomings, including the things you’ve done wrong and you truly believe Christ is the Son of God and that He lived and died for you to be able to live, you should have no problem trusting Him.
When you come to Him to find rest and to rejuvenate in the quietness that only He can provide for you to reset and refocus, you are showing Him you trust that He is working behind the scenes in your life—even when you aren’t.
