You Can't Do It All

Most of us don’t like to admit we need help. Even when others see you need assistance you reassure them you’re fine—even when you aren’t. Why do we do this?

You and I like to operate in self-sufficiency mode. There is nothing wrong with being confident in your abilities, but when you try to live this life all on your own it can create problems.

First, you weren’t meant to live this life alone. God gave Eve to Adam after He created man because He saw it wasn’t good for us to be alone.

Second, if you were able to successfully navigate this life all on your own then the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus means nothing. On the contrary, it means everything!

Just like vines do not survive unless they are connected to the main branch, you cannot thrive unless you stay connected to the one who gave and gives you life. When you stay connected to Him, you can then have life-giving relationships with others.

You can be fruitful, abundantly productive, only when you are connected to Christ and take His lead. It is His Spirit in you that produces good fruit in others and all you have to do is abide in Him.

Are you living life being abundantly productive because of Him or are you just surviving because you’re still trying to live your life all on your own?
