What makes a person successful? Is it money, power, or intelligence? All of these things are blessings, but often embraced in the wrong way.
We all wish we had money in abundance. We think about what we would buy and how much “better” we could live. But money can’t buy happiness.
Man looks at the external benefits and God looks at the heart. It’s important to bless others through what God loving provides for us.
Maybe this means paying for a frazzled mom’s groceries at the store, giving to a local charity that means a lot to you, or even traveling to different countries on mission trips to be God’s hands and feet to the world.
Power can be a dangerous thing to hold too. Many use their power for the benefits of what it appears to entitle them to. If you are fortunate enough that God has placed you in any position or power, it’s most beneficial if you use it to be effective for Him.
Your intelligence can give you both money and power. God created each of our minds to uniquely to reflect His image in the world.
You can use what God gives you in this life to live comfortably and to have everything you could ever want. If you understand though that everything you are and everything you have is because of Him, you can’t help but to honor Him with it all.
After awhile it can get tiring to keep doing good in the eyes of God when it is so different than how the world sees it. Don’t become weary of doing good and what’s right.
The benefits of good stewardship far outweigh the benefits this world has to offer. How have you used the money, power, and intelligence God has given you?
