There is a big difference when someone visits versus bringing their bags and moving in. One is a coming and going that may happen more than once. The other lasts far longer and you become much closer to them.
Jesus came down from heaven to walk among us. He was a visitor as this world is not His home, but He needed to come to show God’s mercy to the world. His birth gave hope for all of us. For His 33 years He was a visitor here.
After His resurrection, He left part of Himself to be with us—His Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes and lives in you and guides you as you choose to live for Him and no one else. Living with a kingdom mindset puts everything in perspective.
If what you are wanting to do or say will have no impact for God on the lives of others then why do or say it? This is what someone with a kingdom mindset would put everything up against.
Jesus was born in a stable among the animals and placed in a manger, but He wasn't meant to stay there. He wants to live in your heart and be the biggest part of what makes you who you are.
This world can be such a dark place without hope and far from peace. Jesus came into this world as the Prince of Peace and without Him in your life you will not experience real, perfect, and lasting peace.
