The season of Advent is all about preparing our hearts for the coming King. It’s a great time to refocus on Him and pray for what He has prepared for you in advance for the coming year.
When Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden, it was paradise. What made it absolutely perfect was their relationship with God—the Creator. The downfall was when they chose to do what God specifically asked them not to—eat the fruit from tree in the middle of the Garden.
This one sin closed us off from any of us having the relationship with God that Adam and Eve had in the beginning. But God knew their sin before it even happened and had already made a plan for His Son to come to earth to reconcile us to the Father.
Jesus coming to earth is such a significant cornerstone to who we are. He came to prepare the way back to the Father.
