Sometimes we hear in the news about an older person in their eighties or even nineties earning their college degrees. It’s easy to look at them and ask, “What’s the point?”
Many things will happen in your lifetime to hold you back from living with a fixed purpose. I’m not necessarily talking about climbing the corporate ladder from the mailroom clerk to the CEO, but I am talking about ambition.
God wants you to live a life of purpose on purpose. When you live your life with a kingdom mindset, knowing you’re here to tell others about Jesus, your life path will be different than the one you set out to achieve.
Making decisions based on “What would Jesus do” is not only a suggestion—it’s essential. Things happen in life that can end up distracting you from what God wants for you.
Setbacks, hangups, and testing happens, but what’s important is what your reaction is to them. Face your fears and take a leap of faith toward your next step on this journey with Jesus.
Trust He knows what He’s doing in your life. Just like everything you do impacts the lives of others, there are others impacting your life right now.
You may not ever meet some of them, but they are praying for you to go boldly and do what’s right in the eyes of God. Even if you stumble, they are praying for you to dust yourself off and continue the path.
Look forward and go straight ahead. Even if you can’t see where you’re headed don’t become distracted from things that aren’t from God.
What distractions are you struggling with right now?
