Have you ever met someone who no matter what happened they were never going to be satisfied? This could come in the form of a child who feels they can never live up to the expectations their parents set for them.
In school you may have found a teacher or professor who no matter how well you wrote a paper or completed a project it just wasn’t good enough to please them.
Sometimes as adults you may work harder than anyone else around you and yet no matter how well you perform, your boss still sees you as a subpar employee—so much so that you always get overlooked for raises and promotions.
Don’t lose hope. No matter where you find yourself now, as long as you keep your eyes on Jesus, He will sustain you. You may be hungry, but knowing God will always give you what you need helps you to be satisfied.
Something happens when you start focusing on Him and not on your situation or your emotions. You will be satisfied. God will be enough because you will live secure that He will always give you exactly what you need.
In this life there will be others who you will have to work for or even serve. Do so with love as Christ would do for others. Work and serve on His behalf and do it as if you were serving God and not any man or woman.
Live now with the mindset that when the end comes and eternity is before you, you did all you could to honor God with what He gave you. Be satisfied with the things He continues to provide.
Don’t lose sight of even the little things. As long as you love others and love Him, He will be satisfied and winning Him over is all that ever really matters.
