Wonder

Kids look at the world in a completely different way than we do. Their wide-eyed wonder makes them believe anything is possible. The childlike innocence they portray allows them to believe in miracles.

What happened to our wonder? Why does everything need to be seen to make sense? The world happened. As you grow older you may become more knowledgeable and you’re taught that knowledge is power. This is true. We all still have so much to learn whether we are ten or one hundred and ten.

Knowledge is learned, but faith is experienced. Faith can’t be taught. It is grown and strengthened with each experience you have in this world.

You face two options with every test and trial you endure—look at the situation pessimistically and think it’ll be your ruin or optimistically and know you are stronger on the other side.

Children perceive what is and what could be the same way. Everything is possible to them. Children are able to put their lives in God’s hands more easily than us because they haven’t been in this world long enough as it tries to thwart all of our wonder and faith.

I challenge you to walk through this world for even one day and see things as you did when you were a child—see the possibilities even when it seems impossible. I’m not talking about ignorance, but innocence. Know what you now know, but open your mind to the possibilities of God.

Nothing is impossible for Him. When you face everything with hope and faith in Him, it opens your vision to look curiously and wonder freely. A parent or adult figure in a child’s life, who believes that in God nothing is impossible, is able to lead them to a wonder-filled world filled where God reins and nothing else matters.

Be thankful for where you are and what you come up against. It’s all used for good when you love Him and will always show His awesomeness to the world.

Do you fully trust God—even when things don’t look possible? Will you allow Him to fill your life with hope, joy, and peace as you see things with wonder and possibility?
