Any time there is a party, it is a celebration of someone or something. It could be a birthday, an anniversary, a retirement, or even a celebration of life for someone who has passed on.
The night Jesus was born, His Father looked down upon Him and smiled. I imagine Him all emotional, as most fathers are when they see their newborn for the first time.
God wasn't the only one rejoicing though. All of heaven rejoiced at the coming of the Savior. They knew the impact His birth would have on the rest of humanity and it was a huge reason to celebrate.
Just as God and all the angels in heaven partied the night Christ was born, God and the angels celebrate each time someone makes the choice to follow Christ.
The day you decided to give your life over to Christ, realizing that following Him was better than struggling through this life on your own, there was a party in heaven for you. This was the day you were born again into a new life with Christ as your guide.
So Jesus’ birth and your rebirth are both cause for praise parties in heaven. The impact Jesus has on all of us life changing. In the same way, you were created to make a Kingdom-sized impact here on earth as well.
You are here on purpose for a purpose. If you have accepted Christ and let Him lead you, truly follow His lead and help guide others back to Christ. If you have yet to choose to follow Christ, I ask one question. What is stopping you?
Oh what a glorious party there is in heaven when one person chooses Christ over their own agenda or the rewards this world has to offer. How awesome would it be to party in heaven with the angels, God the Father, and Christ the Son?
