No relationships happen by accident. Sometimes you meet someone and become best friends for life. Other times they are just a part of your story for a season.
You can learn from others and you can also help guide them. God chose Mary to carry His Son. We do include Joseph in the story, but even when we retell the tale now the focus is more on Mary bearing Jesus than anything else.
Joseph matters just as much as Mary. It was Joseph who was of David’s family line, which was foretold to bear a Savior for the world. Who you associate with matters.
Mary was set to marry Joseph. They weren’t married yet when he found out she was pregnant. What was he to think? If this happened today, Joseph would have called her out for cheating on him. But just as an angel of the Lord appeared to Mary, an angel also appeared to Joseph.
Whenever God is involved, learn to expect the unexpected. It’s in the unexpected that the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
Just as Mary’s relationship with Joesph totally changed her life, it also changed the lives of everyone else forever. What relationships has God put in your life that are meant to change you so that you can impact the lives of others in the name of Christ?
