Putting your seal on something solidifies it as yours. Royalty sealed their documents and letters with their monogram or family seal. Farmers brand livestock with their initials.
It’s a sign of ownership. God has a seal. When you accept Christ, He comes to live in you through the Holy Spirit. His Spirit seals you as a child of God—it’s a permanent branding.
The Holy Spirit is sent to those who accept Christ as His promise of eternal life with Him. Think of it as a downpayment made with the promise to pay in full.
His Spirit seals the deal! Once the seal has been placed on you, you cannot lose your branding as a child of God. The seal is one of Godly-royalty and with it comes the privilege to honor Him with the way you live.
Let everything you say and everything you do bring Him glory. We are all human and will make mistakes because of our free will. God knows you aren’t perfect and He doesn’t ask you to be.
All He wants is for you to rely on Him and let Christ be your Savior and Redeemer. Accept Him and allow His blood to cover your sins. Nothing else in life is guaranteed except for His saving grace and never-ending love.
