Many people are coming into 2020 hoping to be out with the old and in with the new. With the good and bad that has happened this past year, it will be good to have a fresh start.
What some don’t realize though is that you don’t have to be starting a new year to make a change and start fresh.
God has made it so anytime you want to have a new go at life, He is there to help you. He delivered the Israelites from captivity in Egypt and took them into the Promised Land. Yes, there were issues along the way, but He was there with them every step.
Their faith in Him was tested and the years and years wandering were rough. God always had a plan though. He brought them out of the old and into the new.
You can achieve more in your life with His power guiding and driving you than you could ever do on your own. As God guides you into the new year, try to remember it is more beneficial to your future to respond to His leading than to react to it.
When you react rather than respond, it gives your emotions and feelings a chance to negate what God wants to do through you. This is because when things are scary or out of our comfort zone, we find it hard to simply respond.
Choose to respond by allowing Him do something new in your life so He can use you to do something new in His name to benefit others. Respond by saying, “Here I am. Send me!” Pray for God to give you a direction for 2020—even just one word.
