Have you ever had a problem or something that seemed like an impossibility to you? You may not know how some things could even be possible.
There are many things you pray for that cannot be humanly possible, but you and I are fortunate to have a God who specializes in the impossible. He is notorious for making a way when there doesn’t seem to be a way.
God wants you to remember who He is. He is the Creator and Lord of all. There is no one greater than Him.
When the Israelites were escaping their years of captivity with the Egyptians at their heels, God worked through Moses to create one of the most memorable miracles in the Bible. He allowed Moses to raise his staff and part the Red Sea.
All the Egyptians followed through the path that was made in the middle of the parted waters. God made a way for the Israelites to be free by allowing them through.
However, because the Egyptians were chasing after the Israelites and not after God’s heart, the waters again flowed together and all the Egyptians were killed.
It can be hard even after a miracle like this happens to you for you to still remember what God brought you out of when you face more trials. But He keeps His promises and will help you time and time again. He did it before and He will certainly do it again!
So while it’s important to reflect on the past, it’s even more important to be on a path to what God has ahead for you. Like the Israelites it can be a struggle to move ahead, but it’s crucial to press on toward what will play out in the future.
As the new year begins, what are you leaving behind and praying for the future?
