Have you ever watched a baby eat new foods for the first time? The reactions are priceless—from the babies and the parents.
The new textures, flavors, and sometimes colors are too different from what they normally eat and sometimes they quickly create an aversion to certain foods.
This aversion can stick with you into adulthood and you may never try the food again—which is why I still don’t eat tuna fish.
Just like developing dislikes for certain foods, you can detest certain things that you hear.
Your ears test the things you hear just like your tongue tests out the things it tastes.
When you internalize and try to live by the Word of God, gossip, foul language, and bullying will not only be something you can’t stand to hear, but you also won’t be able to take part in them either.
Test everything you hear against the truth of God. If it doesn’t line up with His Word, you shouldn’t do it, say it, or believe it to be true.
What have you heard that you had to test whether it was true or not?
