Sometimes people get to a point in their life when they aren’t where they thought they’d be, they don’t have what they thought they’d have, and they aren’t who they thought they’d be. The solution? Time to make a change.
When you try to handle this change yourself, it’s called a mid-life crisis—even though it isn’t always in your mid-life. Maybe you try a new career, buy new things, or reinvent your look.
The only problem with taking your feelings of inadequacy and trying to fix them yourself is you will waste your time, effort, and hard earned money to fill your life with things that will ultimately not last.
The only thing that can truly bring about life change is Jesus Christ. Entering into a relationship with God through accepting and committing your life to Christ is the only way to make the biggest impact with your life and also the only way to living in abundance.
Sure you can be a great person, run a Fortune 500 company, and give to charity, but if you aren’t living a life to give God glory then what’s the point? We are not here for ourselves. Christ died so that you could live.
Your sin, guilt, and shame should have been enough to condemn you for all eternity, but God in His mercy and love sent His only Son to give His life as a ransom for yours.
Society as a whole has traveled so far from where God intended us to be. Oh, nothing takes Him by surprise, but because of our own choices we have drifted away from the only One who knows who we were meant to be.
You want to make a life change? What you’ve be doing isn’t working and you can’t seem to find any joy or contentment anymore? Turn your eyes to Jesus. When you accept Him and commit to doing things His way, it not only changes your heart, but it changes your life.
The life you once lived, the you that you once were, and the things that were once important will be renewed and reborn. You will become a new you! He will turn your heart away from self-satisfaction to Godly glorification.
You will no longer be living for yourself, but for others—pointing them back to God. In a world where everyone decides to commit to living for Jesus, anger, rage, inequality, and unrest will be eradicated and His peace, love, hope, joy, and faith will abound. It would truly be His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
Have you allowed God to move in your heart and mind to give you a heart that follows after Him and not anything this world has to offer? If not, what is stopping you?
