Ever since time began there have been some who have more than others. However, more of what? How do you gage who has more?
Many people look at material wealth to determine who in society has more or less than someone else. While the results would determine who falls into what social classes, it may not definitively reveal who has more.
There are some who are rich and have infinitely more than they will need in their lifetime, but they possess attributes that make them unapproachable, seemingly unloveable, and lonely. This is not all who are wealthy, but many have fallen prey to the love of money.
Then there are others who have very little, but God always makes sure they have what they need. They may not have the latest and greatest phone or other material goods, but they are rich because they know who they are in Christ.
Never stop praying for God to help you keep your eyes on Him through every situation—no matter how hard it may be. No matter the outcome of what you’re facing, God will never fail or abandon you. He is always with you. Even if some things make you feel like you can’t make it, He will be right there with you giving you love and encouragement that you can make it.
The things you have are always the answers to someone else’s prayers. You may complain about what you have or how your life is going, but the reality is there is always someone else that has less than you. This is important to remember no matter how much or how little you have. Always keep looking to God to sustain you.
Material riches are nice, but they aren’t everything. What matters the most are things that cannot be measured by quantity but by quality. Love, empathy, joy, peace, patience, and faith are just a few of the things you have through Jesus. These are worth immeasurably more than anything this world has to offer.
Where do you fall on the more than or less than scale? I’m not talking about how much money you have or what social class you fall into. Where would you rate your life in the things that really matter—the things only God can provide in your life? Are you loving others with the love He gives you? Are you living with empathy and patience for others while exuding joy everlasting and peace overflowing because of Christ living in you?
