It’s just a fact of this life that things change—people, situations, and time. There are times when you can’t wait for things to be different and others when you would like it to stay the same for awhile.
When it comes to your personal goals in life, maybe you’re like most people and strive to get better and keep improving. This drive can be in the areas of serving, your profession or calling, and also in forgiving, caring, and loving others.
But let me ask you, what pushes you to want to change? Though it’s admirable to change for yourself and not for anyone else, this cannot happen by your own effort. If you try to do this on your own strength and merits, you are only changing into who you think you should be.
Committing your life to Christ is guaranteed to bring about the greatest change you’ll ever experience in your life. Instead of striving to be different on your own, God helps you to grow into who He has created you to be.
God helps you to change and mature into the best version of yourself. It isn’t by your own might that this metamorphosis happens. It can only happen when you surrender control of your life to Him.
He put everything in you when you were born that you would need to live the life He has called you to live. We are all called to tell everyone about Jesus and you’re no different. Don't be afraid of change, but do make sure it is God who is working through you to achieve it.
