Do you remember being in love for the first time? You wanted to be with your love every minute and even when you weren’t together you were talking on the phone or thinking about them.
Maybe your first love turned into a lifetime partner, but for most people it probably ended and you may or may not see them again.
Your sin and my sin had the power to keep us from God and His love forever. It separated us from Him and there was nothing we could do to reconcile the relationship.
But God…He already had a plan. As part of the Trinity—Father, Son, Holy Spirit—God would send part of Himself in the form of His Son Jesus to live with us and show the way back to Him.
When He died and arose again to live in Heaven with God, He sent His Spirit to stay with us forever. In this form, He is with you forever.
There is nothing that can separate you from Him or His love again. Jesus bridged the gap that sin had made and did what none of us could do.
