We were all created to create. You may not be the Martha Stewart of crafting or the Monet of the art scene, but God has given you a specific gift that only you can use and it’s to be used to bring attention and honor to Him.
You may not think you’re creative, but creativity doesn’t have to include ribbons and hot glue—it doesn’t usually for me. But it will always involve you using your God-given talents and abilities to do something extraordinary.
Maybe you’re good at conducting and leading business. Or perhaps you have a gift for manual labor such as construction, carpentry, masonry, mechanics, or are electrically inclined.
All of these are specific skills God has gifted to you. Sometimes we all experience a creative block—you can’t seem to seal the deal, build it right, or allow the creative thought to flow from your mind to the blank page in front of you.
Since God is the bestower of your gifts, spend some time with Him. Pray for His Holy Spirit to work in and through you to create a masterpiece.
There is something amazing that happens when you allow His Spirit to speak into you creatively. He alleviates any block you may have and lets the wisdom and understanding from God to flow in your life.
This affects you and also those around you so all will experience the joy of His love. As the Spirit speaks through you, it stirs your heart and before you know it what you have accomplished could only have happened through His power.
I pray before I sit down to write every time. It is my desire that He stirs my heart and uses me to reach others for Jesus Christ. Only with the help of the Holy Spirit can my gift be used with the greatest impact for His glory.
How are you using your talents in a God-honoring way? Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to work through you?
