Whenever you purchase something there almost always is some fine print you need to read. Nothing it seems is ever truly free and it’s hard to find no strings attached.
I find this even when going to the grocery store. An item will be on sale, but only if you buy one and get one free. You have to make a purchase first to receive more for free.
My favorite is when you can get five dollars off your purchase if you buy twenty-five dollars worth of participating items. So you wander around the store looking for the eligible shelf-tags and adding up the cost in your head.
Is it just me or do you buy several things you didn’t really need just to get the money off? Doesn’t spending more defeat the purpose of saving money?
There is only one thing I have found that has no strings attached, no fine print, and no exclusions. It’s totally free and can truly allow you live your best life. Jesus!
He came, He lived, He died, He arose and ascended into heaven. These are the facts. As a result, you can choose to have a personal relationship with Him and be reconciled back to God—with just the decision to accept Him and His sacrifice and commit to living your life for His glory.
That last part though is what hangs people up. It’s hard to forsake yourself for someone else, but Jesus did it to save you and me so surely we can do it too. You are to love others as you love yourself and to love God above all else.
This means the sacrifice of Christ paid the price for the sins of all the world until the end of time. You and I were meant to be condemned to death and instead He has raised you to new life in Jesus Christ.
It’s hard to think because of the horrible things some have done that if they choose Jesus, they too can go to heaven just like you. So this includes murderers, adulterers, addicts, atheists? Yes, all of the above.
There was no fine print rolled out upon the death of Christ. There are no exceptions on who He saves and no exclusions based on where someone is from, what language they speak, or the color of their skin.
He came to save all and purchased your life with His. His blood covers all your sins and washes you clean. Without even knowing you yet, what you would go through, and the decisions you would freely choose for your life, He died for you.
I ask you to look at your life and see if you are still making choices to benefit you or if you have gone all in and fully chosen Jesus—committing to live for Him for all of your days?
