Privilege. It’s something that people have misconstrued in our culture. Some believe they have more privilege and because of their privilege they are entitled to certain things more than other people.
There have been many times in our history where one nationality, race, ethnicity, or gender were treated as less than by another nationality, race, ethnicity, or gender. Chances are we have all experienced this or witnessed it.
Things have been wrong for quite some time. If the world can see this, I know God sees it too. God created all of us as equals. He created you and me to be in community and unity with one another. There are many Bible verses that highlight His desire for a unified people. This wouldn’t be the case if it wasn’t important to Him.
We abolished slavery yet there are still people enslaved in many ways. Laws have been passed granting rights to some who had been deprived of them. Even with the advancements that have been made, inequality, racism, and hate still exists.

It’s time for us to seek God like never before. Maybe you haven’t ever had a personal relationship with Him, but I tell you friends that now is the time more than ever. Unrest has never been greater and inequality has never been a more rampant problem.

To live with Him is to continuously delight in His glory and grace. Delight is more than being happy. It’s about having great joy and the highest pleasure imaginable. It’s because of His glory and grace that you and I are even here.
Are you living your life so close to Him that you cannot keep from loving others like Jesus would? Ask God to search your heart and help you to see where you may not be treating others as they should be treated. He alone can change a person’s heart and bring about unity and equality among men.
