There are things that you like to give and to receive. Some things have a lasting impact like kindness, honesty, and love. Other things you may remember later, but they don’t physically last as long such as flowers, chocolates, or other gifts.
God gave His Son as a sacrifice for all of us. This is a lasting gift that stands the test of time. Your acceptance of this sacrifice means His love, mercy, and grace will stay with you all the days of your life.
The Bible says God cares for everything He has created. After the flood, He even displayed a rainbow as a sign to solidify He would never again send a flood to destroy the earth. If He cares about the lilies of the field and the small sparrow perched in a tree, how much more does He care for you?
Faith can seem to some like a complicated thing that not everyone has the ability to have. Let me tell you that everyone in this world has the capability to have faith.
Having faith you will attain a job you enjoy one day or having the faith you will meet your soulmate are good things in and of themselves, but there’s more to it than hoping for these material things.
Faith is hoping for things we cannot see. Instead of just hoping and faithfully believing for these things, there is one thing better that ensures your life will be the best it can be.
Jesus! Putting your faith in who He is means you are trusting Him and His plan for your life—knowing He works everything for your good and His glory.
Trusting in Him to attain things is not the same as trusting in Him because of who He is. He isn’t a magic genie that is here to grant your every wish, but He is the Son of God who has the power to heal you when you are sick and to work in and through you to impact the lives of others for God.
Knowing God loves you even more than the things of this world that will fade away, how strong is your faith in who He is (rather than what you hope He will bless you with in this life)?
