What is perfect love? Because we are all human, I don’t believe that you or I can experience entirely perfect love with another human being—even if this person is your soulmate and the exact person God wanted you to end up with.
This is not to say true love doesn’t exist. On the contrary it surely does. I only mean to say that even with your perfect mate, things will not always go swimmingly.
The Bible says that perfect love, the love of God, expels all fear. His love for you forces fear to leave.
So knowing His love is unconditional and unselfish and that He cherishes and takes delight in you, what do you have to fear? Worry, concern, and anxiousness don’t have any place in God’s perfect love.
Fear and love cannot coexist at the same time. Fear causes us to question things and feel emotions that if they become true they could hold punishment of some sort for you.
You may be trying to live your life without God, but the truth is that without Him you are allowing fear of all kinds to run your life.
Don’t let the what if’s in this life hold you captive in fear. What is keeping you from resting and trusting in His perfect love?
