Have you ever been asked to describe yourself? What would you say? Some would talk about their outer appearance and others would talk about their character.
Your talents and abilities help make you who you are as well. These are the things we use to describe ourselves and others, but who does God say that you are?
He created mankind in His image, but this doesn’t mean we are all walking around with His eye or hair color or are His height and weight. When God says this He means the great things He put inside of you—integrity, loyalty, honesty, trust, love, and so much more.
Who is Jesus? He asked this question of the disciples and they all eventually knew He was the Son of God. Many of us would agree to this fact, but even fewer of us really know what this distinction truly means.
So often you go about your daily life with little thought about His role in relation to you. If you believe He is God and Lord of all, with unconditional love and mercy, then why aren’t you living like it?
Bad things will happen to good people, Christians or not. It’s just a part of life. But in the bad times and in the good ones, you cannot forget who God is.
You can learn more about God through reading His Word and through prayer. He is your protector, provider, healer, guide, peace, joy, and countless other things. God was, is, and always will be.
Lean on Him for who He is in your life. Who do you say that He is?
