Good intentions only become great when you follow through. You can have the best of intentions. You really meant to send money to that charity for the holidays and you had every intention to spend extra time with the kids, but the busyness of the season got in the way.
Maybe you are allowing your past to dictate your future. Your past can be directly linked to your current intentions. When you fail to do something, you justify it based on what you have or haven’t done in your past.
God doesn’t care much for your good intentions. He wants you and I to be willing and open to being used by Him despite your past. You can’t control every decision and feelings that others around you have, but you can decided to forgive them for any hurt that they may have caused you.
Forgiving someone doesn’t let them off the hook for what they did. It just allows you to be able to let it go and give it to God. It’s so hard to do, but the Bible tells us we are to forgive people 70 x 7 times (490). That basically means for the rest of your life.
No matter how many times you forgive, God has forgiven us way more and He will never stop! Let the past go and start living in the present and looking forward to the future.
What was supposed to harm you, Got meant it for good. Everything you go through has a purpose. How has the saving grace of God helped you so that you could one day help someone else with the same struggles?
