Community of Faith

According to Hebrew thought, nothing happens by coincidence. To think it did would mean things can happen by accident but have a connection somehow.

God has plans for your life and knows you better than you know yourself. He doesn’t make mistakes and even though He has given you free will, nothing that happens in your life is by accident or a coincidence.

I am a firm believer in that you are as strong as the people you surround yourself with. No matter if you’ve accepted Christ or not, there are always people praying for you. Family members, friends, and even the members of local churches are praying for those in their communities.

The people around you continue to pray for you even when you don’t or feel that you can’t.

In the Bible we read about baby Moses. The king wanted to kill all the Hebrew baby boys because the Hebrews had grown and multiplied so much he was intimidated by them possibly overtaking him. So Moses’ mother hid him for three months.

When she couldn’t hide him any longer and because her faith in God was strong, she put him in a basket in the river. Long story short, he was raised by Pharaoh’s daughter in Pharaoh’s house with his real mom being brought in to nurse and watch after him.

God was watching out for him because his mom prayed and trusted God for his life. God can sustain you because of the prayers of others who have put their faith in Him.

Community is a powerful thing and a community of Christ followers who pray for one another can move mountains and aren’t afraid of what this world throws at them.

Who is surrounding you with faith-filled prayers even when you’re too weary to pray them for yourself?
