There is something to the innocence and silliness of children. We can learn much from them about taking the time to have fun in life. More and more as we grow our maturity level increases. We constantly have to work on a healthy balance of fun and productivity and instill this in our children.
Choosing to accept Christ allows Him to continue the glorious work in you He began from the beginning. Since the beginning of time, God has had a plan for your life and mine. My life may never physically cross with yours, but what I do can spiritually impact the path of your life—through prayer and by living out God’s purpose for my life.
Spending time with Jesus on the journey of your life increases your knowledge of who He is. As you grow spiritually, maturity comes when your knowledge of God and His promises increases so you can live your life through faith in Him and not living in fear of the world.
When you choose Jesus, there is never a day when God is not in control, Christ is not by your side, and the Holy Spirit—Christ’s spirit—is not actively working in and through you. Each day you decide what to do and those decisions affect your direction.
You see, we all have free will and as a result our world is not like the Garden of Eden when God first created man. We live in a fallen world where no one and nothing is perfect. You and I have to be intentional to be more than just a good person.
We must also be joined with Jesus so the results of our actions are not personal gains, but point back to the awesomeness and perfection of God who works all things for your good and for His glory. God is still working on you as you continue to mature and grow in His image.
His work does not reach completion until the return of Christ. How does it change your view of yourself to know God is still working on you and you don’t have to be perfect?
