Perspective is everything. The way you see situations affects how you approach them.
But what if mountains were not meant to be obstacles in your way and instead be opportunities for growth? No one wants to have hard times and to experience negative events.
You’re a good person and why should you be having to deal with this? Wrong. You are made in the image of God and inside of you are traits that mimic His—perseverance, humility, love.
So if you’re a Christ follower and living your life to honor Him, why should you face bad days, bad events, or even bad seasons in your life? The answer is because you follow Christ.
The disciples knew that being associated with Jesus had its life-threatening risks. They were intimidated at times by storms and things that stood in the way of them doing what Jesus asked them to do.
The thing to note though is they didn’t let these mountains in the way. They decided to face them as opportunities for kingdom advancement.
Every time you face things in faith with a kingdom mindset, you set yourself up to grow spiritually and mentally. Instead of fearing what you’re facing fear God (having reverence for who He is).
