Many will order something custom-made at some point in their lives. It may be something on a small scale like something sewn with your name, a book, or a clothing item or something bigger like a car, motorcycle, or a new home.
When something is custom-made it has specific characteristics chosen to make it different. God made each one of us with special, specific details so there would only be one you. We were all made differently and come from different nationalities, ethnicities, and races. God made it that way because He didn’t want all of us to be the same.
God created us all different because He knew there needed to be all kinds of people to make up the body of Christ—the Church. A body doesn’t need five hands or twenty toes so He was very specific with the details when creating you because He desires for you to find your place in the body and help it function to the best of its ability.
The world values people by their assets and special skills. People are viewed as being a good or bad addition to relationships, businesses, and society as a whole.
God knows you are valuable because He is the one who created you. But He also sees you as invaluable because your value and worth cannot even be fully grasped or calculated.
Your past experiences shape the way you bring Jesus to people. For instance, someone who has fought through addiction is equipped to understand and help someone else know Jesus who is going through the same thing.
There are people who have lived and learned from many things and God uses these unique experiences, good and bad, for His glory. Think about who introduced you to Jesus?
Knowing that person or people loved you so much to share the love of Christ with you, who are you bringing God to in your life? Don’t be afraid of your past. Allow God to use it to reach people through you with His love.
