When the earth and even man were created, God said it was good. Adam had a close personal relationship with God, but God saw it wasn’t good for man to be alone. This is the same for you and me today.
It’s not good for anyone to be alone. When you are alone, you’re more at risk of giving in to the lies the enemy is speaking into your life. To combat the lies, you need to surround yourself with people who will remind you who God says you are and who He created you to be.
You may have been through a relationship that was toxic or damaging and it has kept you from putting yourself out there again. Let me first say that I understand. But second, you can’t afford not to find your people.
There is strength in community. Alone you can be overpowered not just physically, but mentally. With someone else by your side, you are stronger to fight off whatever comes your way and you both can both watch out for one another.
And just like the strength of the Trinity—Father, Son, Holy Spirit—where more than two are gathered there is power. When two or more are gathered in His name, He is there among them, but three? A cord with three strands isn’t easily broken.
How has God been able to use relationships with others to make a difference in your life?
