There are times in your life when something so horrible happens you don’t know how you’ll survive. Just like happiness and love are universal experiences, so is suffering and sadness.
You may pray for things and feel God doesn’t answer. He is a God of His word though and if you call on His name He will answer you, but maybe not in the way you wanted.
This is hard to take when you feel a different outcome would have been better. Trust He knows what He’s doing. God can see the bigger picture when we can’t and will work everyone for your good and His glory.
When you feel you’ve lost what matters to you most, take the time to mourn and bring yourself before God to ask for strength and direction on what to do next.
God wants to be the one you go to first when things are great and when they are falling apart. Put Him as the head of your life and when you struggle to hold on to the things most dear to you, He will be the One most dear to you.
Above all else, if He matters the most in your life allow Him to help you through the pain to the blessings He has for you on the other side of your suffering.
Have you fully allowed God to be the Lord over your whole life? How has He embraced you in tough times?
