This is an ever increasing problem as time goes by because of social media. We all love to post about our family and their accomplishments, but usually very little about the not-so-appealing parts of our lives.
You compare how you are faring in real time to how well John or Joanne are doing in their social media posts. A picture can be worth a thousand words, but it doesn’t tell the whole story of those who are in it.
You want to have true friendships and be a part of a community of people who love you for you? Stop living your life all online and take the time to truly do life with others.
Have open and honest conversations about your walk with God and about struggles you’re facing. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there to someone you can trust and talk to them about how you’re really doing.
So many close themselves off and choose not to let anyone in. This will hurt you in the long run. You and I were made for community. The Bible says to share your burdens with one another so they can help relieve your pain as you do the same for them in their times of trouble.
No matter the magnitude, all suffering takes it’s toll on a person. Though it’s different for each, one thing is for certain.
Pressing on to finish the race God has placed before you is important because we are all on the edge of His glory being revealed.
