Ever get mail that claims “your immediate action is required?” Often times these attention drawing envelopes hold contents that can only be described as junk mail—to be filed in the trash.
Other times the mail, an event, or a person can bring trouble to your life. This can test you way beyond what’s comfortable.
It is in the testing that our faith is called out and confronted. Testing means to challenge what you think you know and push you to your limits.
Testing also produces perseverance. So the result of being tested stretches you and makes you grow. Your perseverance will help you to overcome some big things in your life.
Growth is important and only happens outside of your comfort zone. If you’re unwilling to sacrifice your comfort because you don’t want to be tested, you are missing out on the blessings God has for you on the other side of the trials.
Your action is required in times of testing. Staying where you are and becoming complacent with your situation isn’t the answer.
How have you recently stepped out of your comfort zone without knowing what the results would be?
