We’ve all seen movies where someone saves someone else’s life and they feel indebted to that person until they’re able to do the same for them. Jesus doesn’t need us to save Him, but He does wish for you to desire to do His will.
Before Christ was crucified, He prayed in the Garden and was asking God to spare Him for what He was about to endure. Ultimately though He spoke that it was God’s will to be done and not His.
How can we know we’re walking in God’s will? To know God’s will is to know Him. You can’t know anyone unless you spend time with them. Each day when you talk to God (pray) and learn more about Him (read His Word), what He desires will become real to you.
God is always working in you to nurture the desire and giving you the power to do what pleases Him. Your relationships are a great place to show God’s love to others—extending grace and leaning on His understanding.
Once you commit your life to Christ, you are given the ticket of grace, are reconciled to God, and have a renewed purpose for living that benefits not just yourself, but all of those around you.
It is God’s desire that you will continue to love and honor Him with your life until your dying breath. He saved your life with the life of His Son.
How do your words and actions show your reverence for Him and continued love for all He’s done for you?
