There are many limits in your life. Even your life on earth is for a limited time. Some people push the limits, some cross them, and some follow their limits and the rules to a fault.
What about the limits that are meant to be pushed and pushed past? If people throughout history would not have dared to go past the limits imposed on them we would not have had medical or scientific breakthroughs, more rights for women and minorities, and we would not have as much religious freedom in our country.
Just like there are limits others impose on us, you and I are also guilty of self-imposed limitations. We are our own worst critics and factor in past hurts and hangups into our current situations. Most of the time God gives each of us a purpose we cannot fully execute through our own power.
This is on purpose! He wants to partner with you and have His power work through you to make a difference and bring glory to the name of Jesus. This is ultimately why we are all here.
You aren't here to make a name for yourself, but to live a life that honors God by living out the calling He’s placed on your life. God created you with the skills and talents and put the people and circumstances in your life that you would need to be able to live a life of purpose.
Trust He knows what He’s doing. Lean on His understanding. You may not be able to comprehend all the details of the work He’s given you to do while you live this crazy life—the who, what, when, where, and why—but trusting in Him means you will move forward without having to know all the details.
Your self-imposed limits are no match for His power and strength. We limit ourselves when we try to figure it all out on our own. You were made for more and God has planned more for you. All you have to do is trust Him and lean on Him to make your path clear.
Have you been leaning on God or your own understanding to navigate life?
