Sir Isaac Newton discovered three laws of motion, one of which is that everything that is in motion tends to remain in motion unless something externally applies force on it to either stop it or change it’s direction.
You throw a ball and it will keep going unless someone catches it or it hits something. A car will remain driving down the road unless you stop it with the brake, you put it into park, or it runs into something else.
But what does this law of motion look like when applied to us personally? When having a conversation with a group of people, it will tend to stay on the same topic and go in the same direction until someone decides to change it or it goes off on an unexpected tangent.
Whether you know it or not, there is a plan for your life to have an impact on those around you. God created you specifically on purpose for a purpose. He has big plans for you to rock this world for Christ!
There are numerous stories in the Bible about God’s people facing opposition to their God-given plans. Nehemiah faced opposition from others when he was finishing the rebuilding of the city wall because of rumors and gossip that were being spread about his motivation for completing the rebuild.
Paul didn’t let prison stop him from reaching others with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Jesus even faced opposition on the daily because of His position as the Son of God and because of His boldness to pursue a life living in the will of God.
There are so many more examples that could be shared, but the point is if they all had opposition to their assignments from God, why would we be any different? You have a choice then.
You can either let the opposition you face derail you off the path God has for you or you can choose to be bold and stand strong because of His power at work within you.
When you look ahead at the Godly assignments in your path, are you ready to face them with boldness and oppose all opposition you’ll face or are you approaching them with timidity and stepping back from what God wants you to pursue? Pray for God to give you boldness to use His strength in your life to overcome whatever you face.
