Freewill

We all like to be in control. It scares us when we don’t know what’s coming. As Christ followers though, we are to surrender to Christ knowing that He is in control. What does that mean to you?

Many give the allusion that God is in control while still taking care of things their way behind the scenes. This is not true surrender. You can’t always see what God is doing Himself behind the scenes.

When you can’t see what God is doing or understand how He has lined up the journey of your life, you get frustrated when you can’t physically see God working in your situation. But let me tell you, when you begin to take things into your own hands, casting off all restraint in knowing that God is in control, it shows that you don’t believe He will come through

Outcomes to situations and seasons do not always come out the way we plan them, but they always end up the way God knew they would. God gave us all freewill so that we could choose to accept Christ and be reconciled in our relationship with Him. The problem with freewill is that you can make decisions contrary to what God has for you as well.

What have I learned is that the best thing you can do in any situation? Consult God through prayer and see what He wants you to do. Instructions are good when followed. When you follow God’s instructions, blessings will flow. The Bible can help as well. It isn’t called our instruction book for nothing!

How have you benefitted from God’s wise instruction?
