In this world you will have trouble. You will go through times of suffering just as you will go through times of happiness. You may even have times when you feel alone.
You know what? The good news is you are not alone and many people before you have gone through these things, too. You will come out on the other side!
Christ suffered and died for your sins. Anything you have struggled through or have yet to face, He overcame it all when He died and rose again. He defeated death and the grave to come out victorious on the other side. Because Christ lives in us, we too can be victorious!
God says that once you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen you. Nowhere does it say He will then abandon you. Just like when you rebuild a house after a hurricane, He will return you to your pre-storm glory.
And that’s not all! He promises to be your foundation, your support on which to stand. Then, He will make you even stronger than before so when the next storm comes you will be more prepared based on what you have learned from what He just brought you through.
He will place you on a firm foundation. How awesome to know when the waves toss you about and you have no idea when your storm will end that He will pluck you out of the angry storm and set you back on solid ground.
