There has been an argument for some time about which wins out in a person’s development—nature or nurture. Nature has to do with how we were made including our genes, appearance, and personality characteristics. Nurture relates to our experiences, relationships, upbringing, and even the culture we are surrounded with. This argument could easily match beside the differences of spiritual wisdom and earthly wisdom. Earthly wisdom is encompassed by all that we experience, our culture, and our relationships. If we look at things through this point of view we are limited to see our full potential. Spiritual wisdom is straight from God and can start to be found in who God created us to be. He used His wisdom and love to make us in His image. Will you choose to look at things from an earthly point of view (based on what we see in this life) or from God’s point of view (merciful, unwavering, with a kingdom/eternity-driven focus)?
