Vulnerability can be a good thing—sometimes it’s not. We have all had times when we were vulnerable, opening ourselves up completely to someone only to be shut out because they didn’t feel the same way about us when they knew all our past wounds and insecurities. When we open ourselves up to being attacked or damaged, we let the devil get a foothold in our life—he then knows how to mentally bring us down. This is the opposite with God. When we become more vulnerable with Him and let our guard down, amazing things happen. Even with all our faults and failures, wounds and insecurities, He still loves us. The only way to be strong is to allow His strength to uphold us in our weakness. Leaning into Him strengthens our faith and helps us to say no to Satan’s advances. Does Satan have a foothold in your life or have you leaned into the love and grace of God to stand firm in your faith?
