Have you ever known a perfectionist? They have to get everything just right or they feel they’ve failed. It may take them longer than most to finish something and most often work better alone. In some way, shape, or form we all have things we do in life that we want to get just right. Sometimes we even go as far to think God doesn’t want anything to do with us or He wouldn’t love us if we didn’t get things just right first. He doesn’t work this way. We don’t need to get our act together before He rescues us. He rescued us through the death and resurrection of Christ. All we have to do is accept this saving grace and we are made right with God. While we were still sinners, He knew we were worth saving. Nothing we could ever do would be perfect and that’s okay. His grace is for all—freely given along with freedom of our sins. Are you still striving for perfection on your own? Or have you chosen to allow the Author and Perfecter to rescue you once and for all?
