Everyone has numerous characteristics that make them who they are. In order to accept them, you must like who they are as a whole. This means you are willing to accept their faults, hangups, and shortcomings.
It’s all easier to accept when you know other people who accept you for who you are. This is not to say that everyone has to like you. In fact, the Bible says that if you live like Christ, chances are the world will not like or accept you.
Jesus was not like anyone else. He created you to stand out and not to fit in to this world. God loved us so much that He sent His Son to earth to die for us. If Christ had not willingly given His life, you and I would be at the judgment of God’s wrath.
We all want to spread the love of God everywhere to everyone, but you can’t have His love without knowledge of His wrath. The two characteristics of God go together. The result of your sins should have been death.
But the good news is it’s not! Christ bore our sins and died a sinners death even though He was as innocent as the whitest snow. He did this out of His love for us. God isn’t an angry God. He has spared your life for accepting and following in His Son’s footsteps.
When you accepted Christ, you accepted all of Him. When God created you, He accepted you as His even knowing everything about you.
How does it make you feel to know that your life could have ended in death, but instead Christ’s sacrifice has given you eternal life?
